Death investigation underway after body found in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say they are conducting a homicide investigation after a body was found on Pinkney Drive Friday morning.

According to the Fayette Co. Coroner the victim, 43-year-old Amy Koeger, was pronounced dead just after 10:00 a.m.

Officers say Koeger was shot.

An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort.

Lexington Police say they are questioning a person in relation to the death.
