Death investigation in Rockcastle Co.

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – State police in London are trying to figure out what happened after discovering a body a short distance from an abandoned vehicle.

Police say they received a call about an abandoned car just after 7:00p.m. on Monday.  When they arrived, officers say they were able to determine that the car was connected to a missing person from Fayette Co.  When they searched the area around the car, investigators say they discovered the body of 41-year-old Amelia Jones, of Lexington.

police haven’t released a cause of death at this time, but say they do not suspect foul play.
