Deadly crash under investigation on Troy Pike in Woodford County
WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Authorities are investigating a deadly single-vehicle crash that happened Monday morning in Woodford County.
According to the Versailles Police Department, an officer was approached by a citizen around 9:33 a.m. who reported a motor vehicle collision on Troy Pike.
Officers responded to the scene and found a small passenger vehicle that had been traveling south before leaving the roadway, running off the left side of the road and striking a tree.
Officials say the driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Woodford County Coroner’s Office.
Authorities say the name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.
The crash remains under investigation by the Versailles Police Department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit.
