Deadly crash shuts down busy road for hours

LONDON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says lanes have reopened following a deadly crash that shut down part of U.S. 25 Monday night.

Deputies say the collision happened around 9:10 p.m., about six and a half miles south of London near Lily. The roadway was closed for several hours as emergency crews investigated the scene.

According to the sheriff’s office, U.S. 25 reopened to traffic just after midnight.

The crash remains under investigation.
