Deadly accident, two children survived

SCOTT CO., Ky. (WTVQ) – One woman was pronounced dead on July 7, around 11:45 a.m. after hitting a fence off Longlick Road.

Scott County Coroner John Gable reported 46 year old Michelle Louise Rosas was driving northbound with two children, when the car left the road and struck a fence.

A wood plank had gone through the windshield, and Gable said Rosas died from blunt force trauma.  The two children, each under the age of 10, were treated and released from a hospital.

Officials say a bystander stopped and got the kids out of the car.

Gable said speed and alcohol were factors in the accident.
