Darian Kinnard representing Kentucky football in the Super Bowl
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Former Kentucky offensive lineman Darian Kinnard is looking to win his third Super Bowl in as many seasons this Sunday.
Kinnard’s Philadelphia Eagles take on his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, Feb. 9.
Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. ET at the Ceasars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game will be televised on Fox.
This is the former Wildcat’s first year with Philadelphia after spending the past two with Kansas City and winning the past two Super Bowls.
During his career in Lexington, the Knoxville, Tennessee native played in 46 career games with 39 consecutive starts.
He helped the likes of Benny Snell Jr., Chris Rodriguez Jr. and A.J. Rose become three of the top 11 rushers in school history as a key component of The Big Blue Wall.
If the Eagles and Kinnard beat the Chiefs, 18 Wildcats will have won a total of 21 Super Bowl rings.
