Danville woman killed in head-on collision

STANFORD, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Boyle County woman was killed Friday morning in a head-on collision in Lincoln County, according to State Police.

Investigators say 24-year old Jerry Day, of Stanford, was driving a pickup truck west on Highway 78 just before 9:00 a.m.  They say Day pulled into the oncoming lane of traffic as he passed a vehicle turning onto Elliot Brother Road, and collided head-on with a car driven by 38-year old Angela Peters, of Danville.

State Police say Peters died at Fort Logan Hospital from her injuries.  Day was taken to UK Hospital in Lexington with non-life threatening injuries, according to investigators.

The deadly collision is still under investigation.
