Danville Police Make Counterfeit Money Bust

Police in Danville said reports that fake $100 bills were being used Thursday at a Wendy’s and Burke’s Outlet led officers to even more counterfeit money.

Officers investigating the case said they received a tip that the people passing the counterfeit bills were in a White Suzuki with South Carolina plates.

Investigators said the vehicle was later spotted at a Walmart parking lot.

Officers searched the Suzuki and said they found fake $100 bills inside that were uncut and still in sheets.

Police said a printer, computer, cutting tools and some crack cocaine pipes were also recovered from the vehicle.

Officers arrested three people in the case.
