Danville man arrested after toddler found alone near pond

According to investigators, a citizen traveling on E. Main St. called them just before 3:00 p.m. Wednesday to report a child walking around unattended.  When police arrived, they took the child to the station and called social services. Officers then drove around to see if they could find a parent or anyone looking for the toddler.  At around 3:25, police say they found Lee outside the Magnolia Apartments looking around.  Police have not released Lee’s relationship with the child, but say the toddler’s mother had gone to get her hair cut, and left the child in Lee’s care.
