Danville man busted for trafficking after passing out in Laurel County

they found nine ounces of meth, more than an ounce of heroin, cash, and weapons after he passed out in his car.
According to Laurel County Sheriff John Root, 42-year-old Michael Lee Stephens, of Scrub Grass Road in Danville, is charged with first-degree meth trafficking, first offense heroin trafficking, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; possession of a handgun by a
Laurel Sheriff’s shift Sgt. Brett Reeves and KSP/CVE officer Steve Douglas received a complaint of a man passed out in a vehicle in a restaurant parking lot in southern Laurel County at about 4:15 p.m. Friday. The two officers found the man, identified as Stephens, and during a search, located a gun, Root said.
In addition, more 42 grams of heroin, 279 grams of methamphetamine, two handguns, one rifle, digital scales, other drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of money was found, added the sheriff, noting Stephens was a convicted felon in Ohio.
Sheriff’s investigators assisting on the investigation included: Lieut. Chris Edwards, Detective James Sizemore who is the case officer, Detective Robert Reed, and Bailiff Roy Ball.
