Cycling To Fight Lung Cancer

Bicycle riders from across the country are fighting lung disease by riding across Kentucky. It’s part of the 28th Annual Bike Trek to Shakertown.

On Sunday, nearly 200 cyclists stopped at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. The ride started Friday and ends Monday.

Cyclists chose choose to bike a 35 or 50 mile route.

Organizers said the event proceeds fund cutting edge medical research and lung disease prevention strategies.

According to the American Lung Association, 35 million Americans suffer from lung disease.
