Current, prospective college students sought for pandemic impact survey

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ/Press Release) – The Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence is seeking currently enrolled and prospective college students – high school seniors, or adults considering continuing their education – to help measure the impacts of COVID-19 on Kentucky’s postsecondary community.

The online survey is available at prichardcommittee.org/CovidCollegeSurvey.

The survey, which takes about 10 minutes to complete, is independent of the government or any single school. It was designed by and will be analyzed by a postsecondary student team.

Responses will help educators, students, parents and families, community leaders, and policy makers better understand the challenges students are facing and plan for what comes next.

“The results of our postsecondary survey hinge on our ability to reach a diverse population of students in a short amount of time,” said Perry Papka, director of policy for the Prichard Committee. “After analysis of the results, we will share the data with Kentuckians as part of our larger effort to inform about the overall impact of the pandemic on education from early childhood, through K-12 and college.”

Previous Prichard Committee survey results can be found online at prichardcommittee.org/covidsurveys.
