Crews working fatal crash in Powell County

POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A portion of highway in Powell County is closed while crews work a fatal crash.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the accident is on KY 213 between mile markers 8 and 9 at the Boone Creek intersection just north of downtown Stanton.

Drivers can use the detour at KY 615 (Paint Creek Road) while the crash is under investigation.

There is no word on how long the road will be closed.
