Electrical issue reported in downtown Lexington building overnight

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Firefighters responded to an incident call in downtown Lexington early Tuesday morning.

According to the Lexington Fire Department, crews were called around 3:30 a.m. to the area of West Vine Street and Broadway.

Fire officials say there was a problem with an electrical box inside a room of a building. However, the issue did not lead to a fire.

The fire department says maintenance crews were called in to isolate the issue to the room and address the problem.

No injuries were reported.
