Crews rescue dog that jumped off Carter County bridge

CARTER COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – First responders in Carter County made an unusual rescue on Tuesday.

Carter County Sheriff Jeff May posted a video on Facebook of the rescue involving a dog.

May says the dog jumped over the side of the bridge on the AA highway into Tygarts Creek and broke both front legs.

Carter County sheriff’s deputies, along with firefighters with the Grayson Fire Department and the Grahn Fire Department, responded to the scene.

May says crews removed the dog, who is expected to make a full recovery.
