Crews battle two car fires in Lexington Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Fire crews had to battle a tricky fire Saturday afternoon in Lexington.

A car caught fire while in the parking garage located at South Broadway and West High Street.

Firefighters say the fire began on the third floor of the parking garage.

When firefighters arrived on scene, the car was fully engulfed in flames.

No one was injured.

No major damage was done to the parking garage or surrounding cars.

The incident is under investigation.

Fire crews were also dispatched to another car fire in the Park Plaza parking garage on Main Street.

Reports say the car involved in this fire went up in flames shortly after 1 PM due to mechanical issues.

There were no injuries reported.
