Overnight barn fire in Lexington keeps firefighters on scene for hours
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Firefighters spent several hours battling an overnight barn fire in Lexington early Thursday morning.
According to the Lexington Fire Department, crews were called to Seeger Lane near Georgetown Road and Iron Works Pike around 1:40 a.m. When firefighters arrived, officials say the barn was already fully engulfed in flames.
Crews remained on scene for hours working to put out hot spots and prevent the fire from spreading further. Fire officials say no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
