Crews battle large fire at recycling plant
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A large fire tears through a Lexington recycling plant Thursday.
Fire crews were called to the Premiere Recycling at 707 West Third Street at around 1 a.m.
Firefighters told ABC 36’s Fadia Patterson, while working the large fire, a portion of the building collapsed.
Several other units were called to the scene to help battle the fire.
There were no injuries.
Firefighters say they won’t know the extent of the damage until all hotspots are put out.
They also say they are not sure what caused the fire.
Investigators will be on the scene Thursday.
