KSP: Suspected Overdose Leads to Crash and Arrest of Lexington Man
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say a Lexington man crashed his car in a wooded area in Madison County after a suspected overdose, which landed him in jail on drug and DUI charges.
Investigators say 31-year old Donnie Creech drove out of a Love’s Truck Stop parking lot and crashed in a wooded area along Colonel Road. They say it happened around 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
State Police say Creech was found unconscious in the vehicle, first aid was administered at which time he regained consciousness.
He was treated and released from Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, according to KSP.
He was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center facing charges of Driving Under the Influence 1st Offense, Failure to Wear Seatbelt, No Registration Plates, No Registration Receipt, No Insurance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, according to State Police.
