Crash involving semi-truck closes northern split of I-64 and I-75

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington Police say a semi driver suffered life-threatening injuries after crashing on an on-ramp on the northern split of I-64 and I-75.  It happened around 5:00 p.m.

Police say the driver was trapped in the cab after it flipped on its side.  His name wasn’t released.

Investigators say the semi was carrying parts to the Toyota plant in Georgetown.

The ramp from I-64 east to I-75 north remains closed, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.  There is not estimated time for it to reopen.
