ROCKCASTLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man is dead after troopers say he ran into a disabled semi truck that was being towed in Rockcastle County on Tuesday.

The crash happened on I-75 South at mile marker 72 at 2:54 p.m.

Kentucky State Police say 69-year-old Jack McIntosh, of Richmond, was driving a wrecker towing the disabled semi truck. They say, while McIntosh was merging onto I-75, 70-year-old Samuel Thomas, of Candor, North Carolina, who was also driving a semi truck, rear-ended the semi truck that was being towed.

The Rockcastle County Coroner’s Office says Thomas died at the scene.
