UPDATE: I-75 reopens in Rockcastle County after fiery crash

UPDATE:  5-29-19 AT 6:52 P.M. EDT

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Southbound I-75 in Rockcastle County reopened just before 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday after being closed since mid-morning due to a fiery crash that left some livestock dead, according to the state.

Investigators say several pigs died in the crash near mile marker 64.  The truck driver wasn’t hurt, according to investigators.

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – An injury crash in Rockcastle County has closed part of I-75.

According to the Kentucky State Police, a commercial vehicle hauling pigs caught fire after driving off the road near the 64 mile marker around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.

One southbound lane is open.

All southbound traffic is being diverted off of I-75 at Exit 76 in Berea.
