Crash believed to be caused by medical emergency

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Police say a driver was taken to the hospital Sunday evening with life threatening injuries after a crash on Bryan Station Road.

Police shut down part of the road to investigate.

They say a truck crashed into a tree.

They believe the driver, a diabetic, had a medical emergency.

Officers say he was not wearing a seatbelt and it seems he didn’t hit the brakes.

The crash reconstruction unit came out to investigate further.
