Cram the Cruiser
Cram the Cruiser has been a Kentucky State Police food drive since 2010. In 2011, G&J Pepsi partnered with the KSP and Kroger to help drive more food collections. G&J started supporting in 1 store and over the past 8 years, we have expanded to 79 stores in the state. We have helped collect nearly 500,000 pounds of food in 8 years and 198,000 last year when we expanded throughout most of the state. All food collected is given to the local food banks with 100% of donations going to supporting the cause. Kroger has been a great partner with the program. They help by preparing $6 Pre-made food bags that have everything needed to feed a family of 4 one complete meal.
1-6 families go to bed hungry each night. In 2017, we helped nearly 33,000 families have a complete meal.
From Nov. 18- Dec. 14 – All food donations given to your local Kroger will go to local food banks in honor of Cram the Cruiser.
On Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10am-3pm – 18 stores throughout the state will have an event day. G&J Pepsi, KSP, Food Banks, and Kroger will set up stations, Police Cruisers and encourage people to help us feed the hungry. We will also have some Pepsi drinks and food to give away as we ask for your help.
