Cow Found On Lexington Street

Lexington police were involved in a chase early Tuesday night. But it didn’t involve a person.

Police say they were called about a cow, loose on Old Frankfort Pike. The cow ended up on Versailles Road. According to police, the cow eventually charged a police officer and someone from animal control. The cow later charged a second police officer, pushing him into a truck. The officer’s injuries were minor, and he didn’t go to a hospital.

Police eventually had to euthanize the cow. Police say they still don’t know the cow’s owner, or how it ended up on the street.
