Council Decides How To Spend Leftover Grant Money
Lexington’s Urban County Council decided Tuesday what to do with more than $1 million in grant money left over from the failed Festival Market.
The council voted to give a $1 million loan to the 21-C Museum Hotel, which is planned to go in the historic First National Building on West Main Street downtown.
The council also voted to give $20-thousand to build Lacrosse fields at Shillito Park, which already has soccer, football and baseball fields, basketball courts, a disk golf course, tennis courts and more.
