Coroner: Lexington woman’s death “accidental”

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Fayette County Coroner’s Office says the death of a woman found in a driveway Monday was an accident.

The body of 68-year-old Holly Ward was discovered just before noon Monday at her home on Leslie Drive.

A few hours after the discovery, Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn said Ward’s death was being investigated as a possible homicide and that an autopsy would be performed to determine the cause of death.

On Tuesday, Ginn told ABC36 News that Ward’s death is now being ruled “accidental” but are awaiting toxicology results to determine the exact cause of death.
