Coroner: Jail Inmate Death Accidental
A Fayette County jail inmate died May 22nd because of an accident, according to Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn.
Jeffrey McKinney was taken from the jail to U.K. Hospital, and died there. Ginn tells the Lexington Herald-Leader that McKinney had a seizure while struggling with the jail staff, then choked on his own vomit.
Ginn says Lexington police now have the case.
