Coroner: Frankfort shooting victims identified

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) -The identities of two men that were shot and killed on Tuesday in Frankfort have been identified, according to the coroner.

Officials tell us the shooting happened in the 300 block of Alexander Street around 6:00 p.m.

Franklin Co. coroner Willard Harrod says Jared Miles Moore, 22 of Frankfort was pronounced dead on scene and Dustin Wayne Johnson, 24 of Frankfort was transported to Frankfort Regional Medical Center, where he died.

The coroner says, “From a preliminary post mortem examination at the Scene and the Frankfort Hospital it appears both men sustained gun shot wounds resulting in death.”

Autopsies for both men are scheduled for Wednesday with the final results available in 12 to 14 weeks, according to Harrold.

Frankfort police are asking for the public’s help in trying to catch the suspect/suspects responsible.
They believe this is an isolated incident and they are looking at several persons of interest.
