Coroner: Child found unresponsive in Richmond pool has died

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Fayette County Coroner says a boy who found unresponsive in a Richmond pool has died.

Police say they were called Saturday night about a 2-year-old boy who had fallen into a pool and wasn’t breathing. They say the child was taken to Baptist Health Richmond and was later moved to U.K. Hospital in Lexington.

The coroner’s office says the child’s name is not being released because of his age. It says the death is being investigated as an accidental drowning.
