Coroner: 2 confirmed dead in Bryan Station Rd. crash
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Fayette Co. Coroner has confirmed two deaths after a traffic wreck on Bryan Station Road.
Police say the 3-car accident happened about 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Bryan Station Road and Johnston Road. As best as police can tell right now, the collision occurred when a Kia was turning onto Bryan Station from Johnston Road struck a pickup heading outbound on Bryan Station.
Police say the Fayette Co. Coroner is on the scene as well as the Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU,) due to the severity of injuries and damage to cars. Currently, Lexington Police say there are at least 4 people who sustained serious injuries in the accident. Authorities expect the road to be shut down for several hours.
