Corbin man indicted on rape and sexual abuse charges in Knox County
KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Knox County Sheriff’s Department says a Corbin man has been arrested following a grand jury indictment connected to incidents dating back to 2020.
Investigators say 44-year-old Preston Messer of Corbin was indicted by a Knox County grand jury on February 27 after evidence was presented in the case.
Authorities say Messer was arrested March 4 and charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse involving a victim under 12, and being a persistent felony offender.
Officials say Messer is currently being held at the Knox County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
