Cops on doughnut shop for Special Olympics

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Some officers are spending time up high and in the cold in Lexington.

The officers went up to the roof of the Krispy Kreme Doughnut shop on Richmond Road Tuesday as part of the Law Enforcement for Special Olympics Kentucky Cops on Doughnut Shops event.

The officers are Torch Run volunteers and are collecting donations for Special Olympics.

They started climbing on the roof at 6 a.m. Tuesday and are staying there until 2 p.m.
