Cooler weather is getting people outside
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The cooler weather is getting a lot of people outside.
They want to take advantage in case high heat and humidity come back.
Now that we are finally getting out of an excessive heat warning, people want to enjoy it while it lasts.
One mom had just dropped off her son at football practice and was spending time with her daughter at Jacobson Park.
“She does not want to leave,” It took Lori Huff over 30 minutes to convince her young daughter to head out. She said it’s nice to be outside and get to truly enjoy the cooler weather, “We had to be inside because it was too hot so it’s really nice to be able to get outside and get some exercise and enjoy these beautiful parks.”
Linda and Curtis Robinson like to bring their granddaughter Skylar to the park.
She loves to see the ducks and play on the playground. They thought the weather felt like Fall.
“It’s September weather and I come out here to walk, I try to walk 20 minutes a day. We love this time of year, we love this kind of weather. We love everything about it,” Robinson said.
Even with the cool off, Robinson’s made sure to bring water and snacks with them.
