Contractors needed for bridge demolition in Frankfort

FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is seeking contractors to assist with the removal of the old Broadway Bridge in Frankfort. The state has indicated that the removal of the bridge is a crucial first step toward safely reopening a section of the Kentucky River and River View Park, both of which were recently closed as a precaution due to falling debris from the bridge.

Contractors interested in the demolition project will have approximately two weeks to submit their bids.
