Contracted food service worker arrested at Powell County Detention Center

STANTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A contracted food service worker at the Powell County Detention Center has been arrested after officials say she engaged in inappropriate conduct with an inmate.

According to a release, Samantha J. Catron was arrested Saturday and charged with sodomy, 3rd degree. Catron is employed by Kellwell Food Management, which provides contracted services to the detention center.

The arrest followed an internal investigation that began after officials received information about the incident.

Catron is being held at the Powell County Detention Center while awaiting transfer to another facility.
