Construction to begin for new connector road in Grant County
COVINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ/Press Release) – A new road connecting Blanchett and Delaney Roads in Grant County will start construction on August 2.
The half-mile connector road will improve safety by getting rid of a single-lane bridge at Delaney Road and three at grade crossings. By connecting Blanchett and Delaney Roads, the road will allow traffic to flow safely above the rail lines across the new bridge that was built in 2019.
The $2.5 million in funding went to Lawrence Construction and Leasing Inc. of Walton, KY The project should be finished by November 2022.
