Construction Begins On Euclid Avenue Kroger
Construction on the Kroger on Euclid Avenue started on Saturday.
It’s closed as crews prepare to build a new, larger Kroger on the same property.
Managers said they will first be clearing out the inside, which will take a couple weeks.
Items that are leftover – like shelves and equipment – will then be sold at a public auction.
They said the demolition process will then start.
Plans for the new store include a basement, rooftop parking, and a Starbucks.
Managers hope construction is done by the end of 2014.
According to managers, customers can now ride a shuttle from the closed Euclid Avenue Kroger to the Chinoe Road Kroger.
