Consensus reached on dress code policy

WOODFORD CO. Ky. (WTVQ)- A compromise is reached on a Woodford County High School dress code after three months of debate.

Students and parents called for an updated dress code in August, saying the 11-year-old guidelines were outdated.

Some students took to social media to make their case.

More than 6,500 people signed an online petition on Change.org.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports teachers, parents and administrators came to a consensus and the new guidelines are expected to be approved in mid-December.

It should take effect when students come back from Christmas break in January.
