Community throws Police Chief a surprise party

STAMPING GROUND, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Stamping Ground Police Chief thought he was going to breakup a drug deal when he got a special surprise.

Police Chief Roger Nowakowski was treated to a surprise party, thanking him for for his service.

Organizers say they’ve been planning this for about two months. Almost the entire town, all the way up to the mayor, were in on it.

Nowakoski has been in law enforcement for 24 years and has served as Police Chief since 2017.
