Community Helps Family Cover Heart Transplant Expenses
A community is rallying behind a little boy who is battle for his life.
Luke Landrum, 6, was born with a rare congenital heart defect and he just had a heart transplant.
To help the Grant County family cover the cost of the surgery, family and friends hosted a spaghetti lunch for the family.
The family said since Luke’s surgery, his mother has had to quit her job to take care of him full time. His father is a pastor at a local church.
The “I Heart Luke” fundraising team held the lunch at the Grant County Extension Building.
