College Scholarship Day at Keeneland to be held Friday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A record $30,000 will be given away on College Scholarship Day, opening day of the 2018 Spring Meet at Keeneland. This event annually attracts thousands of college students from Kentucky and beyond. Admission is free with a college ID.

Full-time students can register to win one of ten $1,000 scholarships and two $10,000 Runhappy Scholarships along with prizes from local vendors awarded after each of the day’s 10 races.

You can pre-register online at www.keeneland.com/csd and be entered to win a Keeneland box for six on College Scholarship Day. Pre-registration closes April 5 at 5 p.m. ET.

On College Scholarship Day, students can sign up in the College Zone for the Drake’s Handicapping Challenge, which will award a $200 across-the-board wager and a $250 Drake’s Gift Card to first place, and five $25 consolation prizes.

Keeneland hosts College Scholarship Day in partnership with the Kentucky Thoroughbred Association. The event has distributed more than $300,000 at Keeneland since its commencement during the 2002 Fall Meet.
