Lexington, Ky. – College Scholarship Day on opening day of Keeneland’s 2017 Spring Meet attracts thousands of college and university students from Kentucky and beyond. Admission
is free with a college ID. Full-time students can register to win one of ten $1,000 scholarships and prizes from local vendors awarded after each of the day’s races.

The first 2,000 students to register will receive a Keeneland College Scholarship Day T-shirt courtesy of Coca-Cola or a Southern Proper hat. Students will enjoy music, free snacks and prize drawings in Keeneland’s College Zone in the North Terrace.

For the second consecutive year, Jim and Linda McIngvale, owners of champion and Keeneland sales graduate Runhappy, will give away a $10,000 college scholarship.

The Runhappy Scholarship will be awarded via random drawing to one lucky fulltime student after the eighth race post parade.
