Cold weather moves Richmond-Madison County MLK event inside tonight

Richmond, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Richmond-Madison County Branch of the NAACP has decided not to have the planned march at 5:00 p.m. today due to not only the cold weather, but the extreme wind chill factor expected at the time of the march.

The program scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. will continue as planned.  Anyone arriving at the church prior to the program will be welcomed inside for fellowship.

Martin Luther King, Jr. National Holiday March and Service, Monday, January 18th at 6:00 p.m.  the event will include recognition of youth talent in the community, support of local law enforcement, and special music.
