Coach Cal Refutes Lakers Rumors
The lower bowl of Rupp Arena, nearly full of Solid Blue fans cheering on this latest edition of the Cats.
Many of those same fans, jeering a Cat from years gone by.
Shortly before the tip of the national title game, former Kentucky guard Rex Chapman sent out the tweet heard ’round Solid Blue nation.
Rex claiming that Coach Cal planning to leave Kentucky to take over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Saying it was a quote done deal.
Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak refuted Chapman’s tweet saying it’s quote "the rumor is untrue."
After UK’s 60-54 loss to UConn, Coach Cal responded to the rumor.
