Closure scheduled for Oakley Wells Road in Madison Co.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says that rehabilitation operations began on March 11 for the bridge on Oakley Wells Road.

The bridge is now scheduled to be closed for a period of time to allow for continued work.

The entire rehabilitation is anticipated to be completed by June 1, 2019.

KYTC says the bridge will be closed starting Friday, April 5, starting at 8 a.m., and reopen on Wednesday, April 24, at 8 a.m.

A signed detour has been put in place.

The rehabilitation project includes; wing wall repair, field welding on girders and painting of the structure.
