Schools cancel classes on Monday due to weather

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Schools and businesses have announced closures for Monday, January 6, due to a winter storm hitting Central Kentucky Sunday into Monday.

Closures include:

• Anderson County Schools: Closed Monday: Will be using NTI Day
• Aison Industries: Closed Monday: Mt. Sterling
• EKU campuses: Plan A
• Bath County Schools: Closed Monday
• Blue Gass Army Depot: Closed Monday: Employees who have a telework agreement and laptop are expected to telework
• Boyle County Schools: Closed Monday: NTI Day Monday
• Casey County Schools: Closed Monday: No NTI
• Central Kentucky YMCA locations will not open at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6
• Central Kentucky YMCA programs and classes scheduled for Monday are canceled
• Clark County Public Schools: Snow Day: Not an NTI
• City of Lexington offices for employees not involved in weather response will be closed Monday
• City of Lexington: No garbage, recycling, or yard waste collection on Monday
• City of Richmond offices: Closed Monday
• Commonwealth Credit Union (All 17 branches): Closed Monday
• Courtesy Acura: Closed Monday
• Dana Inc., Danvillie: Closed Sunday night (normal operations Monday)
• Fayette County Public Schools: In-person activities canceled Monday
• Fayette County Clerk’s Office: Closed Monday
