Close call for UK student on way to class

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A chance conversation with his mother saved the day for a UK student on his way to class Tuesday morning.

According to William Mullett, he was headed to his car to drive to school, when his mother got his attention, calling him back to the house. According to Mullett, that was when a large tree fell over, crushing his car.

The family says the tree was over 300 years old, had been recently inspected, and was considered healthy.
