Clark County schools organizing “Cardinal Caravan” to support GRC at Sweet Sixteen

WINCHESTER, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Clark County Public Schools is inviting the community to take part in the “Cardinal Caravan” to support George Rogers Clark girls basketball at the state tournament.

According to Clark County Public Schools, the caravan will head to Rupp Arena as the George Rogers Clark Lady Cardinals compete in the KHSAA Girls’ Sweet Sixteen.

School officials say GRC will face the North Laurel Lady Jaguars at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12.

Officials say free tickets and transportation will be provided for those who ride with the caravan as the community rallies behind the five-time defending 10th Region champion Cardinals.

District leaders say they hope to pack Rupp Arena and show the state the strong support behind Winchester and Clark County’s team.
