Clark County man sentenced in death of his mother

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Winchester man who pleaded guilty to reckless homicide in his mother’s 2018 death was sentenced Thursday.

Clark County Circuit Court says 28-year-old Jeffrey Wisecup received a one-year sentence.

Wisecup was originally charged with wanton murder, after police say his mother, Sheila Wisecup, was having a seizure and, instead of calling for help, he dragged her into another room and closed the door.

They say Wisecup discovered her dead the next day but did not report her death until five days later.
